Hi, I'm Leah.
I'm a wife and mother currently working toward a degree in Healthcare Administration with a specialization in Long-Term Care, on my way to becoming a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. That path, combined with years of hands-on work in the field, has taught me firsthand how overwhelming senior care decisions can be, whether you're the family member trying to make the right call, the caregiver doing your best, or the healthcare worker trying to keep showing up in a hard system.
You deserve support, and you're welcome here.
My background spans direct care, activities, social services, hospice, and mental health administration, alongside years of volunteer work in the senior care community. I'm trained to facilitate Alzheimer's support groups, certified in Music & Memory, and have completed dementia care training, and I'm continuing my education, because there's always more to learn when it comes to caring for people well.
Here on Navigating Senior Care with Leah, I share what I've learned: dementia care education, hospice and senior care information, activity ideas, leadership insight, real stories, encouragement, humor, and honest conversations about caregiving and healthcare.
"My goal is simple: to help people feel less alone, more informed, and more supported as they navigate senior care."
